DESPITE the "good" response rate to the traveller consultation, the leader of the opposition says more must be done to make sure all residents are given the chance to have their say.
Lib Dem leader Cllr David Kendall asked the policy board if in future the cost of sending consultations to individual homes could be explored.
Several residents had complained they had not received adequate notification of the traveller consultation, before it closed in July.
Currently, council consultations are advertised in the authority's Vision magazine and on the council's website, but Cllr Kendall says more must be done.
"We have got instances where people are not getting the Vision magazine and sadly there are people who do not read it," he said.
"There are other options open to us."
Council leader Cllr Brandon Lewis agreed to explore costs for future consultations.
