Tim Farron MP visits Brentwood

Elected President of the Liberal Democrat Party, Tim Farron MP, visited Brentwood today for the launch of the 2011 Manifesto.

Tim, MP for Westmoreland and Lonsdale, who took up the post on 1st January this year, was also here to support the local team who, in the face of many unpopular decisions made by the local Conservative administration, are set to gain a number of seats from the Tories and Labour on 5th May.

He was also pleased to meet party activists, campaigners and candidates at the Premier Inn in Brentwood West as well as local independent businesses Go Fresh, Tips, Raymond Battone and well known local businessman Roy Dyer.

Tim said:

"The theme of this year's manifesto is "Save Our Town" and shows that it is this local Liberal Democrat team that are listening to residents and fighting hard for what they want on issues such as the Town Hall, supporting local businesses and local residents.

"They are fielding an excellent team of candidates, ranging from18 to 70+ who boast a wealth of experience and enthusiasm."

"This is a party who are clearly moving forward by properly representing the residents of Brentwood."
