We look at some of the decisions Tory-controlled Essex County Council have made in our name and with our money:
KENSINGTON ROAD, PILGRIMS HATCH
In Kensington Road, Pilgrims Hatch, Essex Council DO NOT think this needs fixing, saying "the damage is not causing a serious effect on the local residents."
Cllr Vicky Davies says: "How on earth is a mother supposed to safely get round this corner with a pram and baby never mind a person unsteady on their feet?"
MORES LANE, SOUTH WEALD
Rural Candidate Lisa Barrett is appalled at this enormous pothole in South Weald:
"If two cars meet here there's going to be an accident but this has not been dealt with for many months. It's as bad as the situation in Sandpit Lane where cars can't pass each other safely."
CLARENCE ROAD, PILGRIMS HATCH
Back in Pilgrims Hatch, Cllr Vicky Davies has been told by Essex Council that "Following a recent inspection and robust risk assessment, the bollard you refer to has been assessed as not requiring immediate remedial work and will be monitored routinely for any deterioration."
Cllr David Kendall remarked "This just about sums up Tory controlled councils."
SEVEN ARCHES ROAD, BRENTWOOD SOUTH
Just a minutes walk from Brentwood Town Hall is this classic pothole in Seven Arches Road.
Cllr David Kendall says: "Just another crater waiting for repair, not realising that the Tories have got all their priorities wrong.
RAYLEIGH ROAD, HUTTON
Hutton Candidate John Newberry wonders where his taxes are going when potholes like this lead to residents playing "dodge the pothole" every day.
