Weald Round roundabout's surprise return

Weald Road/Western Road roundabout re-appeared overnight on 20th August 2013 After campaigning by Lib Dem councillors David Kendall, Barry Aspinell, Karen Chilvers and James Sapwell, the Weald Road/Western Road roundabout was re-installed this morning/ The markings had completely disappeared and despite previous promises by Essex County Council that it would be repaired and re-painted, they cancelled the marking painting last week. However, despite emails to the contrary, this morning the roundabout was back! Cllr David Kendall said: "Lib Dem action wins the day! Clearly we made it very difficult for them and they decided to take the common sense approach in the end and bring a pot of paint!"	Cllr David Kendall lobbied relentlessly for the roundabout's return
