AGM Report

Last night's Annual General Meeting of Brentwood & Ongar Liberal Democrats was a real success, with record attendance and a lot of celebration amongst party members for a good year.

Cllr Karen Chilvers was elected as Chair of the association for a third term, with Nigel Clarke as Vice-Chair.

Cllr Chilvers addressed members with a report for the last year, sharing successes that included the Eastern Region Website of the Year award, a record increase in members and, of course, the gain of two county council seats from the Conservatives.

Cllr Chilvers was also able to report that all candidates, bar one ward where an election is underway, are in place for the 2010 borough council elections.
