Bishops Hall Bonanza!

7 Feb 2011

Cllr Vicky Davies warmly welcomes the news that £48.000 of Play builder scheme monies are being
allocated to refurbish Bishops Hall park in Pilgrims Hatch. The government funded scheme now in
its last year of life has given a once off opportunity for Bishops Hall Park to undergo a complete
makeover replacing the derelict play equipment with a variety of modern robust and importantly,
vandal proof items.

Consultation has taken place with local schools, the users of the park, the police, Pilgrims Hatch
partnership and ward councillors in an effort to ensure the money spent will benefit the community
enhancing the area and give pleasure to the users. Combined with the new play equipment is a
landscaping scheme that will open up the area and make it a greener environment with the planting
of new trees.

Cllr Davies said:

"We are so fortunate to get this play builder scheme investment in Pilgrims Hatch
especially as the money will no longer be available to local councils after this financial year. I hope
the new play equipment and the landscaping will create a lovely green parkland area that will give
pleasure to local families of all ages for years to come."
