Brentwood should benefit from £8M sale of its Police Station

The Liberal Democrats fought against the closure of Brentwood Police Station

Brentwood Lib Dems believe that Brentwood residents should see some real benefit from the sale and development of Brentwood Police Station.

The Tory Police & Crime Commissioner says the £8 million received will be spent policing across Essex. We believe a large slice of this money should be ring fenced for policing in Brentwood.

We want to see:

  • More police action on blocked pavements and enforcement of 20 mph zones
  • A dedicated Police Community Support Officer in every ward across our borough
  • More visible police patrols at night and at weekends
  • The police given more resources to deal with drugs and anti-social behaviour in Brentwood
