Call Voted Against

How ironic that Cllr Russell Quirk is "urging residents to fully engage with the planning consultation" on the William Hunter Way development when he, and his Conservative colleagues, voted AGAINST a Liberal Democrat motion to undertake a borough-wide consultation on the proposals in the residents' magazine "Vision".

This sensible course of action would have allowed all our residents to share their views, whether positive or negative, on a major development that affects everyone who lives in the borough, especially in Brentwood North, South and West (the town centre wards), and allow councillors to make a fully informed decision.

In the absence of such a full consultation, we would like to let residents know that all Liberal Democrat councillors are happy to hear their views. Our contact details can be found on www.brentwood-ongarlibdems.org.uk.
