Car Parking Charges: "A kick in the teeth for local shoppers and traders" says Lib Dem Campaigner and local trader Nigel Clarke

Brentwood's Liberal Democrats have started a petition for residents to sign and demonstrate their unhappiness at the increased and new charges across Brentwood.

The petition asks the new Leader of Brentwood Council to:

  • reconsider the increased parking charges in Brentwood which can only have a negative impact on shoppers and traders alike
  • reconsider the high charges for the Coptfold Road and William Hunter Way overnight parking and introduce a more realistic fee which is within reach of the local residents.
  • abandon the move to introduce car parking charges at the Town Hall on Saturdays.
