Chair of Finance And Resources a judge in local business support initiative
Councillor David Kendall attended the final of The Big Pitch with colleagues from our partners at Rochford District Council. He judged the 10 finalists in The Big Pitch, the final event of the GET SET GROW II business support programme that has already created 22 new jobs across both Councils.
Each business pitched for a theoretical £10k through a “Dragon’s Den” style session. The judges had a very challenging job of picking the winners, the Brentwood recipient of which was Aching Arms UK - the baby loss charity, which brings comfort and support after pregnancy and baby loss. Congratulations to them.
Thank you to The Consortium for delivering GET SET GROW II on behalf of both Councils, which the UK Government funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
