Meet Max - a vehicle being trialled in Brentwood and championed for permanent installation in our borough by County Cllr Barry Aspinell. He said:

"Max will carry two (retained) firefighters, lots of salt and grit and emergency equipment, plus snow plough if needed. This is a baby version of what I would like to see Brentwood purchase in the future, which will carry at least four fire fighters.

"The vehicle can be used for spreading grit, snow clearance and the plough will easily come off so that the vehicle can be used cross country for the clearance of ditches and culverts to prevent flooding and more importantly, be a major assistance in the rescue of animals.

"This vehicle will be a major assistance to the Brentwood community all year round and will not detract from the fire cover provided for the wellbeing of Brentwood residents."

Cllr Aspinell recently put this to Brentwood Council and got cross-party support to investigate the purchase of our own vehicle.
