Planter moved to protect new pavements

Shenfield councillors Graeme Clark and Liz Cohen have been working hard to improve Shenfield Broadway for the benefit of residents and retailers.

Cllr Liz Cohen said:

"The pavements by Rockleigh Court Surgery were badly broken and highways have just fixed them thanks to a site visit by Graeme in December. We then decided it would be better if we moved the Shenfield Garden Society's wooden planter moved into a better position to stop cars parking on the pavement and breaking it up again."

Cllr Graeme Clark said:

"Working together as a team has its benefits - it was Liz's idea to move the planter rather than use more taxpayer's money to put in posts."

The duo have also reported a hole in the pavement outside the Co-Op and are happy to hear from any Shenfield residents on other issues around town.

Cllr Graeme Clark hopes to welcome Liz as his ward colleague on 6th December
