Councillors attend Liberal Democrat Spring Conference
Some of your friendly local Liberal Democrat councillors were in Harrogate at the Party's spring conference over the weekend.
Councillors Vicky Davies, David Kendall, Darryl Sankey and David Worsfold attended the event.
It was a chance to meet Party colleagues from Essex, celebrate the successes of our 72 Liberal Democrat MPs, listen to our Party leadership, and plan for the year ahead as we look forward to the new municipal year in May.
They heard speeches from our Party Leader, Sir Ed Davey, who visited Brentwood last year, and some of those MPs, including Josh Babarinde, Helen Morgan, and Daisy Cooper.
Councillor Vicky Davies said: "This was my first conference after 25 years, and what an amazing, uplifting political experience it was! Our 72 MPs were an inspiration. Roll on the September conference in Bournemouth."
Sir Ed noted that Kemi Badenoch - doubtless cheered on by her Tory backers in Brentwood - mocked us as people who fix the local church roof – and that’s exactly who we are. People who care about our communities and get things done.
Your Lib Dem Team really cares about our local area and wants to keep it a clean, safe, and pleasant place to live, and we can't do that alone.
You can help us by:
● Delivering some Focus leaflets in your area
● Joining the Brentwood Liberal Democrats
● Donating to support the work we do
