Shenfield councillors Liz Cohen and Graeme Clark have asked for an urgent meeting with Brentwood's Council Leader Louise McKinlay over the disruption that will be caused in Shenfield during Crossrail's construction.

Cllr Liz Cohen tabled a motion last week asking for an urgent parking and parking charges strategy only to find it completely re-written by the Conservative leader until it was almost unrecognisable.

Conservative councillors have, recently, failed to inform the ward councillors of what is happening on Crossrail before they have put a political leaflet out, the Lib Dem councillors just want to inform their residents of what is happening in their area.

No strategy is currently in existence so the councillors have called for the Tories' petty point scoring to stop and a full and frank meeting to take place.
