DAVID KENDALL to stand for BRENTWOOD & ONGAR
Well known local councillor and campaigner David Kendall will be contesting the Brentwood & Ongar seat for the Liberal Democrats at the General Election on July 4th.
David will be campaigning for action to tackle the cost of living crisis, the NHS crisis and to stop the sewage being dumped into our rivers and seas.
Locally he will be calling for more jobs and investment in our area, fighting for more NHS Healthcare facilities and demanding more investment in special needs education and urgent action and reform on social care. David has a strong record of action and service to the local community having served as a Brentwood Borough Councillor for over 32 years. If he's elected as the areas MP he will use that knowledge and experience to get a good deal for Brentwood & Ongar
The recent local election results across the Brentwood & Ongar constituency clearly show the Liberal Democrats offer the only serious alternative to the Conservatives in this area. The Labour party may be riding high in the polls but they have already written off this constituency by publicly stating it's not a "battle ground" seat for them.
Responding to Rishi Sunak calling a General Election, David Kendall said:
"For years our area has been taken for granted by an out-of-touch Conservative Government that has failed to get the basics right and has lurched from crisis to crisis - now it's time for change.
"Local health services are struggling to keep up with demand, peoples mortgages and rent have skyrocketed and water companies have been allowed to pump their filthy sewage into our rivers and beaches. All this by a Conservative government more interested in fighting between themselves than standing up for the country.
"Every vote for the Liberal Democrats is a vote for a fair deal, it's a vote for a party that will stand up for the residents of Brentwood & Ongar and make your voices heard. Please give me your support on July 4th"
