Delight as Crown Street pedestrianisation to start Monday

Reacting to the news that the long-awaited pedestrianisation of Crown Street in Brentwood town centre is to start on Monday 19th August, County Cllr David Kendall said:

"After months of delay I am pleased that the Crown Street scheme is finally going ahead. I believe it will make the road safer to use for pedestrians and help the businesses in that area.

"I know that some motorists won't be happy with the scheme but on balance I think it is the right thing to do and look forward to seeing it up and running".
