During a visit to "The Elms" development at the Mountnessing roundabout prior to the start of the covid pandemic, Darryl Sankeyand the Lib Dem team had discussions with many local residents about the serious environmental issues facing the local community and the excessive fees charged by the appointed management companies. We also spoke about the lack of support residents have had from Brentwood Borough Council and Weston Homes
who built the development.

The 300 residents living at the 91 properties on the development have been affected by a serious planning breach that now affects people's health on a daily basis. The developers (Weston Homes) failed to fit the minimum standard glazing in the homes and failed to install the correct vents. Conservative controlled Brentwood Borough Council has been very slow to react to residents concerns about their responsibilities on planning enforcement and their role in the whole development. With no action in sight residents understandably feel very let down.

Darryl has offered his support to the 'Elms Residents Group' and given his commitment to help in anyway he can. We believe that the Borough Council and Weston Homes must be held to account for the serious issues residents are facing and that they must take action to resolve them as soon as possible.
