Vicky Davies (nee Cook) has been selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the by-election in Pilgrims Hatch. The by-election is likely to be held on Thursday 6th May, at the same time as the other thirteen seats up for election this year.

Vicky has an outstanding record at Brentwood Borough Council, having served for sixteen years representing Brizes & Doddinghurst. During that time, she was Liberal Democrat Leader, Deputy Leader and Leader of the Council.

Pilgrims Hatch ward councillor, Barry Aspinell, said:

"We are very pleased and excited to have such an experienced and well known local campaigner as Vicky, who will make an outstanding candidate for us in the impending elections.

"I served as Vicky's Deputy Leader and understand and know her qualities. She is a thoughtful, dedicated and determined individual who will make a superb addition to the team and a real difference to the residents of Pilgrims Hatch.

Fellow ward councillor and Lib Dem group leader, David Kendall, said:

"Vicky, with her skills and experience, is the perfect choice for Pilgrims Hatch. She was an excellent ward councillor who built up a strong reputation for getting things done for her residents, which is just what we need. I know that she would be a very effective ward councillor in Pilgrims Hatch, working alongside Barry and me."
