Frustrations of the ticket office

Cllr Karen Chilvers is often frustrated by the long queues at Brentwood station and is asking for the ticket machines to offer tickets days in advance

I HAD to have a little laugh at the article about the information point at Brentwood station (Gazette, December 3), only a few yards from the station that says you should allow four minutes to get there.

Of course, that depends on whether you need to buy a ticket - if you do it might be better to allow 34 minutes.

I've queued up many a Monday morning with equally frustrated commuters to buy a ticket.

As an executive member of the Brentwood Bus and Rail Users' Association I have asked for National Express East Anglia to change the ticket machines to allow passengers to buy tickets in advance, so some of us could visit during the weekend to buy tickets.
