Good response to bus petition

3 Apr 2008

Residents on Costead Manor Road and Greenshaw have contacted the Brentwood North Lib Dem Team concerning the frequency of their 71 Bus Service. The service links Costead Manor Road with Brentwood High Street and Stondon Massey. Upon examination of the timetable, Brentwood North candidate Ross Carter and Cllr Reg Straw found that not all of the journeys serve the estate. The Lib Dem Petition to call for increased journeys has attracted strong support.

Ross says "Residents have told me that they are very happy with the 71 - but would like to see more of it! Both Reg and I are giving our full backing to residents on this issue. The service is well used and it is a long walk up to the Ongar Road, particularly for our St Georges' Court residents"
