Cllr Barry Aspinell is urging residents to have their say on the consultation

The Liberal Democrat councillors are urging residents to have their say on the Gypsy & Traveller Consultation. The consultation, which is asking opinions on five sites across Brentwood is open until 10th February 2010.

The Council has identified the following preferred sites to meet the 15 pitch requirement to 2011:

  • Willow Farm, Stock Lane, Ingatestone (5 pitches)
  • Roman Triangle. Roman Road, Mountnessing (5 pitches)
  • Hope Farm, Horsemanside/Goatswood Lane, Navestock (1 pitch)
  • Treetops, Curtis Mill Lane, Navestock (3 pitches)
  • Cottage Garden, Beads Hall Lane, Pilgrims Hatch (1 pitch)

Cllr Barry Aspinell, Deputy Leader and ward councillor for Pilgrims Hatch where one of the sites is located, said:

"It is vital that residents put their views across on the proposed sites so that we can speak up for them and make a fully informed decision."
