Hopeful wants to be strong voice for ward
LIB Dem candidate Linda Price says her biggest concern is giving Brentwood residents their voice back.
"I love Brentwood and I love the people of Brentwood and I feel they are being under-served by the present administration.
"I feel people are not being listened to and I would like to redress that balance and give them back that voice," Linda, pictured left, said.
"I have been watching the webcasts of some recent meetings and I have been horrified by what I have watched."
Linda, 60, is a former Stondon Massey parish councillor and secretary of the Brentwood Borough Parish Councils Association.
She has also been employed at Havering council, so is no stranger to the workings of local government.
She was also heavily involved in the Save Thorndon Park campaign with her daughter, Brentwood West councillor Karen Chilvers, and says conservation would be one of her main focuses.
"I'm a great lover of the Green Belt and the countryside and would protect it to the nth degree," she said.
Linda, who has recently retired from a 25-year career as a legal secretary, says she would also campaign for better bus services for residents.
Lib Dem leader David Kendall added: "I've known Linda for more than 10 years and have always known that she is a community-minded person who will speak up for residents and deal with everyone in a fair-minded and practical way."
