Roads in Ingatestone, Fryerning and Mountnessing are frequently abused by speeding traffic which is not acceptable.

There have been serious accidents in Ingatestone High Street and elsewhere and the introduction of a 20 mph speed limit in High Street is welcomed but has not had the desired affect - if anything speeding has increased.

Darryl Sankey says: "As with all speed control measures, enforcement is paramount. With limited budgets, enforcement - or lack of it - is a major issue. I have campaigned for on this issue for many years, and believe the only way to enforce the law is with speed cameras with infringements being penalised.

"Brentwood, Chelmsford, Shenfield, Hutton and Ongar all have cameras. It's about time speed cameras were provided here too".
