Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lord, Lord Tom McNally, accompanied by his wife Juliet, visited Brentwood last night to give the after dinner speech at our annual dinner at The Eagle, Kelvedon Hatch.

Lord McNally talked about the recent by-election success in Eastleigh, life in Westminster, the many positives that have been achieved in government and what life would be like under a purely Conservative government - citing the Leveson Enquiry as something that would have been buried under those circumstances.

Of the Brentwood party, Lord McNally said:

"It is great to receive such a warm welcome from a party that really is making a huge difference as the main opposition party in Brentwood and has had a great year winning three seats from the Tories and fighting for the residents of Brentwood."
