Brentwood's Liberal Democrats have welcomed the news that the Information Centre in Brentwood High Street is now going to be open on Saturday mornings to help keep residents and visitors to the town informed on the latest developments with the High Street improvements.

Cllr David Kendall asked for the Information Centre to be opened on a Saturday back in January and made a further request at the last Full Council meeting on 25th February.

He said:

"I am very pleased to hear that the Chair of the Highways Panel, Cllr Louise McKinlay, has responded positively to my request.

"The improvements to the High Street are going to cause a lot of upheaval for residents, retailers and local businesses and I believe it is vital we open up all lines of communication to keep people informed about what is going on.

"With the Information Centre being a focal point in the High Street that is well known to most people I am sure this measure will help".
