Shenfield's raw deal

Shenfield seems to be suffering from a lack of support from the ruling Tory administration at the moment.

At Tuesday's Community Services Committee,

• Cllr Graeme Clark asked for Shenfield Car Parks to be included in some of the seasonal free parking days in the borough. However, the Conservatives voted this suggestion down, preferring to concentrate on Brentwood High Street only. View the debate here.
• Cllr Liz Cohen's petition to Save Friars Avenue Car Park was voted down by the Conservatives, even though they are still to come up with a parking strategy during Crossrail. You can watch that item here.
