Successful Brentwood Jobs Fair
Lib Dem Cllr David Kendall, Chair of Brentwood Borough Council's Finance, Assets, Investment & Recovery Committee has hailed the Jobs Fair held at the Brentwood Centre on Wednesday 11th October a resounding success. Over 40 local businesses and training providers attended the event organised by Brentwood Borough Council and Brentwood Job Centre to promote various job and training opportunities. They were able to engage with over 200 residents and students who were keen to find out what was on offer. The event also enabled a lot of networking to take place and gave the Council's Economic Development team an opportunity to engage with a number of people they hadn't met before. This was the second Job's Fair the Council has organised and the plan is hopefully hold more going forward.
Speaking after the event Cllr Kendall said "Finding a job during the cost of living crisis is never easy but I hope that the Jobs Fair held today will open up career opportunities for some of our residents who are looking for full and part time work. I would like to thank all those involved in organising the event and all the businesses and residents who attended for making it so worthwhile"
