Cllr Graeme Clark has reacted angrily to Essex County Council's apathy over the state of the pavements in Priests Lane - currently home to 32 separate potholes.

He said:

"I finally realised last week that ECC are not going to do anything about the appalling state of the pavements in Priests Lane. This is seven months after I first reported them, following an accident in October 2012 where an elderly resident tripped on a pavement pothole and badly hurt his face.

"Since then, I've inspected the potholes with two different ECC inspectors and had their agreement that they are in such a bad state that repairs should be carried out ASAP.

"In December I had confirmation that the work would be done along with pavement repairs on Shenfield Broadway and Crossways. Both of those works have been done but the Priests Lane work has just disappeared into the ether.
