Ahead of the Extraordinary Council meeting on Monday, the Liberal Democrats confirm they are committed to getting the best result for Brentwood residents and urge people to come along to the meeting at the Town Hall at 7pm to watch the debate.

Cllr David Kendall, Leader of the Opposition, said:

"The Liberal Democrats always wanted a cinema in Brentwood but not the development that the Tories approved. We wanted a development that was right for Brentwood, not the Romford-esque monstrosity that was approved.

"We voted against this development in 2008 and have stood firm with residents. The whole thing is a shambles at present and we look forward to debating this on Monday."

The meeting will also be webcast on www.brentwood.gov.uk.
