THE Essex Chronicle revealed today that chief executive of Essex County Council, and former Brentwood Chief Exective, knew about some of Lord Hanningfield's excessive credit card spending during his time as leader of the authority.
Brentwood Councillors were shocked to uncover the fact that Brentwood is ninth on the list of footpath resurfacing since 2010. Whilst Braintree has had over 33,000 metres of resurfacing, Brentwood has had just over 4,000 and trails Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping.
