Kendall takes direct action over bus pass consultation

Liberal Democrat County Cllr David Kendall and members of the Brentwood Bus & Rail Users Association took matters into their own hands in Brentwood High Street on Saturday morning when they distributed two hundred County Council Bus Pass consultation questionnaires to local bus users.

Liberal Democrat County Councillor David Kendall asked some important questions at the Essex County Council meeting this week. He asked whether any changes to the existing bus pass scheme, or alternative concessions that are currently provided, could have a significant impact on bus pass users across Essex.

Evaluation voted down by Essex Conservative councillors

In a motion put down on Tuesday at Full Council, County Cllr David Kendall stressed the important role that Essex County Council should be playing, as a community leader, in supporting those badly hit by the economic downturn - in practical terms and through partners.
