On Wedneday, at an historic annual council meeting the Conservative party lost control of the borough council after ten years to the Brentwood Accord: the former opposition made up of three parties and the independent councillor.
Cllr Vicky Davies, Lib Dem, Pilgrims Hatch, was tonight elected as Mayor of Brentwood for 2014-15 in the presence of her daughters and granddaughter. Madam Mayor is pictured with her husband, Mr Alan Davies, himself a former Mayor of Brentwood.
This historic document was signed on Saturday 24th May at Brentwood Town Hall, giving the Liberal Democrats, Brentwood First, Labour and the Independent member the opportunity to form a new administration after ending the 2014 borough elections with more councillors than the Conservatives.
