Brentwood Lib Dems are in a state of total disbelief since Conservative councillor Phil Baker confirmed that Essex County Council would press ahead with the Olympic Gateway Sculpture at Brook Street roundabout regardless of the fact that the borough will no longer be hosting the Mountain Bike Event at the 2012 Olympics.
