At last night's Policy & Resources Board (6/8/12) Lib Dem councillors voted against plans to introduce a Local Council Tax Support Scheme in Brentwood which has been forced on the Council by the Tory led coalition government.
Cllr David Kendall has today written to senior officers at Essex County Council demanding to know when potholes will be fixed and complaining about the amount of information made available to councillors and residents.

Essex County Council today rejected an Inquiry into the spending of £5.1 million on Council charge cards. This followed revelations in the local press regarding spending £87,000 in hotels and resorts, £3,000 spent in bars, night clubs and discos and various other items.
