Pilgrims Hatch: Orchard Lane speeding causes pet heartache

Cllr Vicky Davies has called for a speed survey to be undertaken in Orchard lane, Pilgrims Hatch as residents live in fear of a serious accident. Cllr Davies said: "This once quiet lane is constantly being used as a rat run to the A128 Ongar Road. "Distressed residents have asked that measures are introduced to slow the traffic after losing several pets under the wheels of the cars. "I have asked Essex County Council to investigate what can be done to make the area safer."

Councillor demands action from Pilgrims Hatch Co-Op

Pilgrims Hatch's Cllr Vicky Davies is demanding that the Co-Op store in Harewood road Pilgrims Hatch pays for the ongoing damage to highway verges, bollards and pavements caused by their delivery drivers.. The latest incident resulted in the concrete bollard on the verge being mown down for the third time. Cllr Davies said: "This is a step to far and I have demanded action from the County Council to ensure tha Cooperative store is held to account . "I fear the dreadful driving and parking standards of the delivery drivers could one day cause a serious accident involving pedestrians in this busy area and, furthermore, why should tax payers foot the bill for damage caused by careless and dangerous delivery drivers?"

Brentwood's footpaths suffer from Tory neglect

Brentwood Councillors were shocked to uncover the fact that Brentwood is ninth on the list of footpath resurfacing since 2010. Whilst Braintree has had over 33,000 metres of resurfacing, Brentwood has had just over 4,000 and trails Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping.
