Lib Dems launch petition to save 73 Evening Bus Service

Lib Dem Councillor and well known Transport campaigner David Kendall has launched a campaign to save the 73 evening bus service which operates between Pilgrims Hatch and Warley via Brentwood High Street. The service, which has a County Council supported contract, is under threat of being axed because of low passenger numbers and a final decision on it's future is due to be made in the New Year. They are also shocked to hear that the County Council is sitting on a Β£42 million pot of unspent cash dished out by developers. The news came to light following a freedom of information request.
